IAS'99 Murmansk

International Arctic Seminars

The 4th International Arctic Seminar IAS'99 follows the former successful Seminar in Murmansk last summer, where

30 papers were reviewed
professors from Finland, Germany, United State, Russia and Norway conducted lectures and taught on Mathematica laboratory sessions.

The participants of the Seminar are bringing together a new view on the training and research in Murmansk region.
In 1999 we emphasize the following themes:

Training session in Mathematica software for the students of MSTU and Pedagogical Institute.
Scientific sessions in mathematics, physics, mechanics etc.
Discussion and free form presentation of new results in distance education via Internet.
Poster presentations will be included in the schedule of the Seminar.
